Vincent Van Gogh in 3rd Grade

Wow! 3rd Grade Artists are working on Vincent Van Gogh inspired city scapes. They started by rolling dice and creating multiplication arrays...Math in Art? You betcha! After rollling and drawing their arrays, they transformed the arrays into buildings with windows. They are now working on creating contrast with color!











How cool is it that while we are using Van Gogh as inspiration, his life story is in the news! The sad story of vincent Van gogh's life and death is up for discussion. A new biography is coming out challanging the story that has been told for over 121 years! Check out the video below to see the segment on 60 minutes!
