4th Grade Artists Went to Tigua Town

4th Grade Artists used their Social Studies curriculum focusing on Texas History to inspire their Houston Rodeo art. After being introduced to the Puebloan tribe, the Tiguas, they viewed a powerpoint and discussed the life of the Tigua tribe. The Tiguas are still alive and well in Texas, making their home near El Paso. 4th Grade Artists then drew a puebloan village and added color with earth toned chalk pastels. Talk about messy! They then created color contrast by adding brightly colored doors and windows. To finish, they painted a watercolor sky. This project was loved by all, and they all look amazing! The following 5 artworks were selected to represent Mossman at the District Rodeo Art Show.
